Summary on Grant Application Form |
Dr A Mehta will develop a theory for atomic deposition based on her successful approach to the dynamics of sandpiles. Equations of motion will be written down for both stuck and mobile items and these coupled non-linear equations solved. The results will then be used to develop models to analyse the x-ray scattering measurements of the roughness of Nb films and the nature of the roughness of metallic superlattices.
