Summary on Grant Application Form |
Our analytical work on barriers separating metastable states in glasses is to be extended in 3 ways. i. Investigation of the uniqueness of solutions to coupled equations recently derived (by us) for range-free but finite spin glasses, together with better quantification, ii. Investigation of corresponding barriers between glassy states in systems without quenched disorder, particularly the Josephson junction arrays we introduced and analysed thermodynamically and dynamically in the N limit, but now to be considered for finite N,Extension to quantum systems to determine corresponding quantum penetration effects.
