Summary on Grant Application Form |
The project aims to develop a novel organophosphorus-based polyacid-modified composite resin ( compomer ) for application in clinical dentistry. The material will be based on bisGMA and related monomers, and the project will include the development of an associated bonding system to attach the new restorative material to dentine. The material is expected to exhibit good handling characteristics, due to its similarity of existing compomers. It should, though, show improved wear, and closer similarity in physical properties to conventional dental composite resins.
