Summary on Grant Application Form |
Neutron reflectivity measurements will be used to monitor changes in surfaces and interfaces of polymers due to diffusion both into and out of the material (e.g. solvent ingress or drying processes). These processes are difficult to freeze without damaging the material properties of the polymers and it is therefore proposed to design and perform experiments in real-time . Careful validation of the results using well studied systems will be made.
