Summary on Grant Application Form |
The study would systematically relate small-zone data on journey to work, for the Census years 1981 and 1991, to other data (derived for the Census and other sources) in urban size, urban population density, distance form other urban centres, and public transport availability, in order to understand how both journey-to-work distance, and journey-to-work mode, are influenced by these independent variables; on this basis it would seek to generate a synthetic model of optimal sustainable development for accommodating household growth over the next twenty years.
