The semester in Paris is organised by leading specialists in p-adic arithmetics from France, Germany and Japan, a significant number of world experts in the field will take participation. Its scientific programme includes lectures on recent advances in the area, seminars, conferences and workshops. Participation in it will provide a unique opportunity to learn very recent results, methods and techniques and apply it in research. Collaboration with Prof Kurihara who will be visiting Paris can be continued (his 3-week visit to Nottingham was supported by EPSRC grant GR/L06560), new collaborations with number theorists in France and Germany can be developed.
