Summary on Grant Application Form |
To study several interesting models exhibiting NESS in both classical and quantum systems. In the former, to examine Ising models with dynamics which display a cascade of energy (as in turbulence) and to elucidate the critical behaviour of branching and annihilating walks in one dimension. In quantum systems to study their properties in the presence of an external current, particularly in non-integrable cases.
