Summary on Grant Application Form |
Fibre reinforced composite pressure vessels and tanks need to be adequately supported in service. There are a number of alternative methods currently available including saddles, slings and longitudinal beams. The first of these methods has been independently researched. The others require investigation. The purpose of the present work would be to undertake this and subsequently to optimise the findings. This would permit the optimised method to be used for a particular application and laminate sequence based on a comprehensive database of solutions.
