Summary on Grant Application Form |
It is proposed to exploit the sensitivity of high frequency wave dispersion to the evolution of Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) mechanical behaviour to establish the VGR as a basis for process rheometry. The ELF-VGR technique will be used to monitor the long term conditions. The research involves three areas:- (i) Development of an on-line prototype VGR for monitoring gelation with real-time analysis using parallel DSP processors (ii) Development of a general ELF-VGR analysis (iii) Validation of results by creep testing.
