Summary on Grant Application Form |
Interfacing of high-performance liquid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, capillary electrochromatography and supercritical fluid chromatography with an ion trap mass spectrometer will be studied. The objectives are to exploit the ability of the ion trap to store ions and carry out MS/MS experiments through several stages (MS)n with high efficiency. In addition, resonance ionisation with the ion trap will be investigated with a view to separation of isotopic ions.
