Summary on Grant Application Form |
The project is concerned with the development of methods for the design of low group delay finite impulse response filters. This is a non linear problem which is not addressed by the existing methods due to its complexity. It is of paramount importance in current communication systems where the demand for greater discrimination in the frequency domain leads to high order FIR filters which in turn produce unacceptable group delays.
