Summary on Grant Application Form |
The present project involves the use of in situ FTIR in a) the study of kinetics of acid/base catalysis over zeolites with particular emphasis on the use of catalytic mediators and b) the mechanism of de-NOx reactions and of the irreversible deactivation of zeolite based de-NOx catalysts. This research proposal is designed to expand the research activities of the group in the area of in situ FTIR studies and characterisation of catalytic sites in microporous materials under working conditions as well as to enhance existing projects funded by the SPSRC and industry.
