Summary on Grant Application Form |
The principal aim in this collaborative LINK-Photonics project is the development of a new generation of streak camera based upon the direct recording of the electron images. Within this project, the Bristol effort will adapt the camera systems for specific applications in industry. Following the development of a novel short pulse source, a new form of interferometric streak camera chirp measurement system will be developed for laser characterisation. The completed system will be field tested in the direct assessment of devices at Hewlett Packard in Ipswich where such measurements are required. In addition, the development of gated cameras using optical amplifiers are aimed at reducing overall camera sensitivity.
