Summary on Grant Application Form |
The purpose of the proposed research is to provide a substantial body of new experimental data that will permit reliable thermodynamic modelling of reservoir fluids at high temperatures and high pressures. Measurements will be made of the phase behaviour, density and sound speed of a number of representative mixtures containing hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide and water. The results will be used to optimise mixture parameters in currently-accepted thermodynamic models and in the development of a multiple-reference-fluid corresponding-states method for the systems investigated.
