Summary on Grant Application Form |
The research aims to study two phenomena in mathematical analysis, (1) weighted Lp estimates for the Hilbert transform in the Hilbert-space valued case, where the weights are now operator valued, and (2) Lp estimates for directional maximal operators in Rn. The common link between these will be the use of the Pereyra paraproduct, a tool which is closely related to wavelets, and so it is possible that the research may have some implications for information technology and communications.
