Summary on Grant Application Form |
Silicon carbide technology needs to be developed in order to manufacture devices which can utilise its superior optical, material and electronic properties. The technology for manufacture of optoelectronic devices such as waveguides and modulators will be developed by the research proposed here. The technology will be of use to both the optoelectronic industry and users of Southampton micro-fabrication facility who require fabrication of SiC devices. Optoelectronic device manufacturers and researchers will benefit from the development of a technology which will enable SiC device fabrication.
