Summary on Grant Application Form |
To explore the feasability of fabricating and using 3-D miniaturised electrical resistivity tomography to provide a novel on-line sensor for auditing and control of complexparticle manufacturing processes. Key intellectual and practical challenges to be addressed include (a) the assembly of a 3-D electrode array; (b) interpretation of 3-D data; and (c) demonstration that a 3-D electrical texture signature of flowing pastes/emulsions, etc can be used to quantify the state of aggregation, particle alignment, packing and structuring.
