Summary on Grant Application Form |
The purpose of this project is to investigate a novel ventilation/heat recovery heat pump (Patent No. GB9507035.5 and GB9522882.1). The proposed system is based on combining a rotating heat pipe with a flexible-fibre impeller so that it acts as a fan as well as heat exchanger. The research programme will involve computer modelling of the heat pump and design, construction and monitoring of a prototype system.
