Summary on Grant Application Form |
The main objective of this pilot study is to develop a neurofuzzy prototype system to provide assistance to construction contractors in predicting, updating and managing (planning and controlling) project cost and duration. This will assist the contractor to keep capital expenditure and delivery time to predetermined cash and time limits and take necessary managerial action to avoid a shortage of cah, bankrupcy and give early warning of cost and time overrun. The system will be based on the data collected by the cost system, cost estimating and construction planning but does nor depend on user entry of forecast data.
