Summary on Grant Application Form
Measurements of NMRintensities (saturations), relaxation and slef-diffusion (pore size/topology) will be made on selected core plugs subjected to detailed petrophysical characterisation. Single and two phase saturations will be studied. The NMR results will be correlated with the petrophysical measurements to assess how NMR can enhance the petrophysics portfolio and interpretational models. NMRI will be used to characterise the spatial distribution of these NMR properties in core plugs having well described heterogenities from the NMRI data sets and these will be evaulated in the petrophysics context taking particular note of their scaling properties.
