Summary on Grant Application Form |
The research will form on e part of the overall programme to be administred by Cranfield Uni. The particular tasks here include the use of finite element software to model structural features, such as bends and corners, and to predict the change in shae of such items on remocal from the mould. Variation of key mechanical and thermal parameters through the thickness will be incorporated. The interaction of the part with the mould will be addressed, thus leading to the ability to design the mould profile to produce a given cross-section.
