Summary on Grant Application Form |
The research is aimed at exploring the ultimate limit of sensitivity obtainable in sensors of ionised particles and gases. The sensors are based on quantum effects and Coulomb blockade effects in nanostructures with sub 10 nm dimensions. The sensors will be fabricated by using nanoscale ebl and ionised particle beam deposition and evaluated in a novel test apparatus.
