Summary on Grant Application Form |
Aim of research is to yield a CAD capability for a novel microwave/millimetrewave radiator which has a low crosspolarisation over an octave bandwidth. The radiator can find applications as a feed for a reflector or as a direct radiating element possibly forming a component in an array. The demand for wide bandwidth operation arises in both civil and military systems when savings in both mass and cost can be achieved through the use of a single radiator replacing the need for multiple conventional radiators.
