The object of the proposed work is to establish the bulky, electron-withdrawing-C6H2(CF3)3 (fluoromes) substituent in transition metal chemistry. s- and p-bonded derivatives along with fluoromes alkoxo and imido compounds will be synthesised, structurally characterised and their reactivities investigated.
