Summary on Grant Application Form |
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance will be used to determine the phase equilibria, interfacial disorder and microdynamics of nanocrystals formed within porous media. Relaxation, lineshape and diffusion measurements will be used to distinguish and characterise highly disordered regions from regular crystals. Studies of model systems eg ice and organic solids in silicas will provide generic methods for complex systems encountered industrially.
