Summary on Grant Application Form |
The aims of the project are to transform the Tbfmoc group into a series of derivatives containing a chiral selector. In this way the tremendous binding characteristics of the Tbfmoc group with porous graphite should produce an insolubilised chiral substrate. This, together with the ancillary binding of the enantiomers to the porous graphite, should enable resolution of an important range of industrially important racemic intermediates and products. It is intended to design the system so that the solid support can be applied in large scale and be regenerated after use.
