Summary on Grant Application Form |
It is proposed to further the work on fast, efficient and robust algorithms which have been developed at Glasgow for simulating turbulent and compressible flow on single block grids. The main taks will be to investigate preconditioning techniques to allow an efficient parallel implementation of an implicit method in a multiblock framework. The project will contribute directly to the successful achievmeent of the CCAF grant challenge project on the EPCC Cray T3D and will improve the value of existing CFD methods to the designers of air vehicles.
