Summary on Grant Application Form |
Over the last 2 years, PERSIAS and SIMULEX have been created and developed into research tools of limited scope. The further development of the image capture process will make the analysis of raw data (video taped images) to produce useful, quantitative data very quickly. The capability of SIMULEX to simulate escape behaviour of people is a two-dimensional process, using basic physical data at present. The expansion of the simulation to three dimensions, and the incorporation of psychological data is planned. Transferring the model from DOS to Windows will result in a user-friendly design and assessment tool.
