Summary on Grant Application Form |
Thermoset recyclate will be prepared in a form suitable for subsequent re-use, through a scientific and technological understanding of size reduction procedures. This will require microstructural characterisation, separation and classification of output from the comminution stage, together with identification and development of added-value products from thermoset waste. The project will focus on exploitation of useful functional properties of the recyclate, in particular reinforcing capabilities, with emphasis on their application in polymer-based composites.
