Summary on Grant Application Form |
The programme is to study the electronic and magnetic properties of interacting electrons in unusual conducting materials at ultra-low temperatures, high magnetic fields and high pressures. The goal is to understand, by means of high precision measurements of average and quantum oscillatory properties, the detailed nature of the Fermi Liquid state at the possible limits of its applicability, and to characterise the breakdown of this state under extreme conditions in systems near quantum criticality where the quasiparticle interaction may have a singular nature.
