Summary on Grant Application Form |
To develop a real time hybrid opto digital processor to enhance the quality of images degraded by the presence of a scattering medium. To determine the global time averaged degrading function resulting from the scattering particles. To use these results to determine the optimum optical filtering operations and the optimum division of image processing tasks between the optical and digital sub systems. To construct a bench top unit for demonstration purposes.
