Summary on Grant Application Form |
(1) To synthesise novel metal-disphosphine complexes with pendant redox functions (principally tetraaza-macrocycle complexes) and probe the electrochemistry and coordination chemistry of these supramolecular systems.(2) To synthesise metal-diphosphine complexes with pendant pyrroles, and to incorporate these into polymer-modified electrodes.(3) To explore the modification of gold surfaces by self-assembled alkylthiol monolayers with terminal metal-diphosphine complexes, made using related chemistry.
