(1) To develop methods of anchoring specific organopalladium coordination sites within porous, crystalline materials in order to produce well-defined, shape-selective alkene oxidation catalysts.(2) To fully characterise the metal coordination sphere, during initial deposition, catalyst activation and operation, in order to determine the structure/catalytic-activity shape selectivity relationships for these new materials.
