To develop a flexible machine vision workbench environment for the prototyping of real-time industrial inspection systems. This will provide for the rapid configuration of systems by non-experts in vision and, using novel verification techniques, allow rapid assessment of candidate solutions. The objective is to support the development of advanced machine vision systems which offer a high degree of reliability, together with known logical and temporal performance.
