Summary on Grant Application Form |
To create and exploit an 'environment' for building open, highly configurable, multi-purpose shop and cell control systems, this comprising a library of function modules and a set of open systems build and runtime support tools. The purpose of the environment will be to structure and enable life-cycle processes associated with a new generation of controllers. Also during the project the environment will be used to build cell controllers and to evaluate their use at a user manufacturing site.
