Summary on Grant Application Form |
The first stage of the programme will involve comprehensive computer modelling of the absorption/recompression system using the LiBr/H2O pair. During the second stage the LiBr/H2O pair will be examined using a small-scale rig in order to establish its performance for different temperatures, pressures and concentrations of solution. The final stage will involve design, construction and monitoring of a pre-prototype absorption/recompression system in order to make a realistic assessment of its performance and operating cost. The system will be monitored using an environmental-chamber located at the University of Nottingham.
