Summary on Grant Application Form |
The purpose of this work is to provide the necessary framework for the development of useful and usable neural-network-based clinical decision support systems and to demonstrate the validity of the generic results via a particular application. Specifically we aim: 1) to develop a method for answer justification and interpretation in neural network-based systems. 2) to make use of feedback from a neural network to guide data entry in an intelligent way. 3) to integrate the above into a prototype clinical decision support system to assist in the early diagnosis of myocardial infarction or heart attack.
