Summary on Grant Application Form |
To train neural networks (ANNs) to model AC and MFDC resistance spot-welding and weld-bonding of aluminium. To use the trained ANNs to predict the diameter and strength of spot-welds from process data. To train ANNs to identify a range of common process disturbances. To compare ANN performance with statistical and other methods.
