Summary on Grant Application Form |
The aim of this project is to investigate the potential for the distributed parallel implementation of realistic Computational Fluid Dynamics algorithm in both Fortran and Haskell on a network of workstations. In order to do this it is proposed to develop tools to analyse Fortran and Haskell programs to enable the interactive specification of parallel sub-modules. It is also proposed to develop tools to analyse the performance of the parallel implementation to enable comparisons to be drawn between procedural and functional implementation and with implementations on other hardware platforms.
