Summary on Grant Application Form |
To develop a numerical simulator for thermal oil recovery. Inputs to the model will be based on experimental data for reaction rates and oil properties produced from existing work within the EOR group at Salford. Initial research will concentrate on a 1-D model incorporating the experimental data for rates and components. Following satisfactory completion of this model, 2-D and 3-D models will be developed to simulate realistic reservoir conditions.
