1) To develop improved methods of estimating the optical properties of tissue from measurement of time and spatially resolved light distribution. 2) Design and construct a system for measuring at the bedside the time distribution of light in tissue. 3) Apply the instrument and the improved estimation techniques to the monitoring of changes in tissue optical properties during PDT and hyperthermia.
