Summary on Grant Application Form |
The overall objective of the project is to develop ultrasonic procedures which do not require coupling fluids. This will involve the production of transducers which will operate satisfactorily with air coupling and the development of better wheel probes. Investigation into composite construction for better low frequency transducers, different testing strategies and optimal signal processing methods for air-coupled testing will be carried out.
