Summary on Grant Application Form |
Increased knowledge concerning the processes and predictability of transition is of considerable technological interest. The various linear and nonlinear aspects of disturbance growth in the boundary layer flow in incompressible/compressible fluids over rigid or compliant walls will be studied. Fast methods for the prediction of transition in design will be investigated. A combination of asymptotic/numerical methods will be used to study the various problems, and we will develop new approaches, computational involving novel parallel processing ideas, as well as theoretical.
