Performance of vehicle in transonic/supersonic/hypersonic flight is limited by dynamic load due to shock oscillations. It is proposed to predict the buffet due to shock oscillations by indicial method leading to control strategies. The control strategies to be studied will include passive and active controls. Experiments will be conducted on a transonic aerofoil with an oscillating flap and on a supersonic ramp to validate the theory.
