|
To set up a two colour dynamic light scattering equipment for the suppression of multiple scattering. To test this apparatus on concentrated suspensions of hard-sphere colloids; to compare the derived information on many-body hydrodynamic interactions with theory and computer simulation. To study binary mixtures of hard-sphere colloids at high concentrations, with emphasis on their glass transitions. To study a model colloid/polymer mixture, with emphasis on the amorphous solid states found at high polymer concentrations; to investigate polymer partitioning between the separated places. To make the equipment available occasionally to others.
