Summary on Grant Application Form |
To develop analytical techniques which can be applied to both existing and new opthalmic investigative procedures. Specifically: 1) to apply ANNs, both in isolation and as part of a hierarchical intelligent processing system, to the problem of detecting and monitoring the progression of chronic open angle glaucoma. 2) to discover disease indicators from an analysis of the artificial neural networks learning behaviour. 3) to promote the development of new perimetric testing techniques.
