1) To develop, validate and use models of modulated gas permeation of thin-film coated foils for the assessment of materials relevant to fusion reactor technology. 2) To extend modulated hydrogen flux experiments for ceramic coated metals. 3) To obtain hydrogen permeation data for TiC coated molybdenum alloy. 4) To characterise a given CVD coating in terms of its hydrogen permeation characteristics.
