Summary on Grant Application Form |
We are requesting two pieces of equipment, a source for matrix assisted laser desorption ionisation (MALDI) and a system for laser capture microdissection. Together, these items constitute a significant upgrade to spatially resolved analysis at the University of Surrey, a fill a significant capability gap for the surface analysis and imaging of intact molecular species. This complements, and will be supported by, existing strengths in surface analysis, imaging and in bulk "omics" at the Surrey Analytical Centre.
