Summary on Grant Application Form
Creating new molecules is of crucial importance in the development of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, perfumes and materials. Despite decades of research, however, some structural motifs are still very difficult or even impossible to create with the tools we currently have at our disposal. In this project, we will develop new reagents and reactions that will allow access to some of these more complicated molecules with the aim of aiding pharmaceutical companies in the development of new drugs and medical imaging probes.
