Summary on Grant Application Form
The University of Exeter offers a vibrant research environment, we are the fastest growing research

intensive university in the UK and ranked 16th out of 134 universities in the national Research

Excellence Framework (REF). We are offering up to 22 fully funded doctoral studentships over the

2016/17 period. Students will be offered sector leading training and development with outstanding

facilities and resources. The EPSRC DTP studentships will be offered across key disciplines of Physics,

Engineering and Maths and Computer Sciences.

The DTP funding will be based on an open and transparent process, underpinned by clear criteria.

Studentships will be awarded to outstanding applicants; the distribution will be overseen by the

EPSRC Strategy Group in partnership with the Doctoral College.

Studentship opportunities will be offered from early November 2015 with a consistent application

deadline of January 2016. Offers will be confirmed by March for commencement in October 2016.
